How Often Does Googlebot Visit Your Blog?

As often as it wants to. The Googlebot crawls links. So, if more sites link to you, the Googlebot will visit you more often. This is also how your Google Pagerank can be increased.

How about never. I have yet to see either googlebot or msn crawl my site. My site has been up several weeks. It is hosted on GoDaddy and I am wondering if that may be a problem. My robots.txt file allows all. How can I tell if I have been banned?

For me, Google has visited at 12:41pm, 9:40am, and 1:40am today…so far.

Have you submitted your site URL to Google? Otherwise it can take some time for it to find it.

Hi, googlebot has been visiting my blog several times a day, but it is only spidering teh homepage nothing else.
I added the google sitemap plugin, and have it working just fine, but still not getting anything other than the home page spidered.

Visits mine every god blasted second of the day lol!! Nah..prolly about every 20 some hours or so…I think.

Nah, it’s really not important…but apparently it is to some people lol. I’d be more worried about adding the content and promoting the blog before worrying about googlebots and stuff. Just submit the url of the site like mat8iou said…and make sure there isn’t a nofollow in the meta part of the header.php file or what not and everythings right in the robot.txt file. Should be all fine from there on…googlebot will find ya.

Ok, so I got and installed teh plugin, it says that google has visited my homepage, but nothing else.

I know that several sites are linking to my site, but each time google comes to visit, it only looks at the root of my site not any of the pages.

I have validated my robots.txt file and it is fine.

Msnbot has crawled the site completely.

Is there a way to convince googlebot to crawl the entire site?
