How plugins work?

    Can somebody explain how can I use plugins?
    I want to add and Adsense plugin but I don’t know how to add it!
    I went at plugin area and there are 2 options.One is to activate one of the preinstalled plugins and the other says “plugin editor”.
    So how can I upload the adsense plugin?

  • You can’t from the admin area.
    You upload them as you upload any file on the internet: using a FTP client.

    Ok,but can you explain how exactly will I do that?I have never used before an FTP client.I downloaded SmartFTP and Filezilla but I don’t know what to do now!

    I installed (not with FTP) but now I get this message:
