    We have a wide variety of template variables that can be used to create title templates. Please use %%ct_product_cat%% to display the WooCommerce product category.

    Hi there;

    %%ct_product_cat%% has no effect on the product category title template. What variable can I use to output the category name?

    okay it solved the problem for me, but it displays all categories is that possible to display only the main category ? i Mean not to display sub categories because the title is getting too large

    I don’t think that’s possible yet, I saw it as a feature request from a few days ago.

    My issue is similar, but somewhat different, in the I need something to display the page title in the template for a “product category” as nothing seems to work…

    So i need to seo my client’s website and do all 500 products one by one. @yoast you need to add this feature

    I would just do a export/import and write a little formula in excel for now if your trying to drop in the “primary” category for each one.

    Or, there is a “primary category” feature for posts, so it would be possible to copy over their existing code and mod it up dropping in the woocommerce variables, but that would be more of a pain in the reverse.

    Unfortunately I still need something to display the page title in the template for a “product category” though?

    Although this issue is currently labeled as resolved, I didn’t see any effective solution for this.

    So, I would like to share with you something, take a look on the following workaround:

    Yoast SEO > Titles & Metas > Taxonomies > Product Categories
    Enter in Title template:
    %%term_title%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%

    Which means:
    term_title = The title of the queried object in WP_Query.
    sep = Assigned separator, I oftenly use pipes “|”.
    sitename = Your default website name.

    Best regards.
