    Hi:
Working on a site that will have a static homepage but wants to use blog functionality for an articles page. But they don’t want people to be able to comment.

Do I have to actually remove code from the theme template? (single.php?)

Or am I supposed to build a page using blog-related blocks instead of relying on the blog templates that come with the theme?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi:
It looks like I can create a new post template and just not include the comments blocks?

Alternatively I can use a plugin to remove all comment functionality.

    Those are my options, correct?

    Thanks!

    Hello there!

Please be informed that you may disable comments for new posts under the Dashboard > Settings > Discussion > “Allow people to submit comments on new posts” option. As for the existing ones, you may use the “Bulk Edit” option under the Dashboard > Posts > All Posts, where you may select the “Do not allow” option near the “Comments” field.
