how ro deal with mutiple tax items in 1 product (gift basket)?
-
Hi,
Running into this issue here, and looking for a way to get this done…
In the store we have separate products, e.g.:
– 1 bottle of red wine: $10 (incl. 21% tax)
– 1 bottle of white wine: $15 (incl. 21% tax)
– 1 pot of pepper: $5 (incl. 6% tax)
– 1 pot of honey: $7 (incl. 6% tax)We want to add a:
– gift basket: $15 (contains 1 red wine and 1 honey – 21% and 6% tax)So the ‘gift basket’ contains 1 bottle of red wine, and 1 pot of honey.
This order would normally cost $17 in total, with $2,14 in taxes ($1.74 + $0.40)
Of course the basket price gets some discount, but that is easily added on the basket product page. But here’s the kicker, inside the product page for the basket I can set only one general tax rate. Because of the items inside the basket, the tax rate set is always wrong.
The tax rate set is either too high (21%>honey), or too low (6%<wine).Is there any way to deal with these kinds of situations in Woocommerce for combined items with different tax rates inside a product?
Thanks for any tips on how to do this, as I’ve been racking my brain but cannot find a solution for this.
