How to run and support boostrap 3 with wordpress's updated jquery when theming

    Hi guys I’m a beginner and I’m trying to learn how create a theme from scratch, I’m using the latest WordPress and i want to use bootstrap 3 for the responsiveness, my problem is that bootstrap is not compatible with jquery 3 that the current WordPress has, how can i make this work? because the modals, collapse and sliders aren’t working except for the styles, is there a way around this? if so what is the best way to run and support bootstrap in WordPress?
