How specific is Remote IP address?

  • I added the Remote IP tag to my form, filled out the form and added my remote IP address to the blocklist as a test. Now, I cant fill out the form from any computer at my house. I can fill out the form from a cell phone that connects to the internet differently than the home computers.

    So, Im wondering, does blacklisting the Remote IP address block any computer using that ISP? or any computer using that router?

    A client is getting malicious form submissions, I’d like to block the person sending them but dont want to block an entire ISP like Comcast.

    Any input is appreciated!

    It depends on the ISP, but I think it is impossible to block entire Comcast with a single IP address entry in the comment blacklist.
