Go to All in One SEO, General Settings, Custom Post Type Settings, SEO on only these post types and make sure you check the box for Media. Then scroll down to Noindex Settings, Default to NOINDEX anf check the box for Media. Then go to All in One SEO, XML Sitemap, Post Types and make sure the box for Media/Attachments is unchecked.

    Thanks

My site is showing duplicate titles for attachments in the Google Search Console, so I too would like to stop Google from indexing attachments. In my General Settings/Noindex area, however, there is no check box for Media. I am only able to execute two of the three steps you advise above. Any help would be appreciated.

First go to All in One SEO, General Settings, Custom Post Type Settings and make sure you check the box for Media next to SEO on only these post types. Then click the Update Options button at the top of the page and then you should see Media as an option under Noindex Settings, Default to NOINDEX.
