• I have just installed the plugin and I can go to option panel.
But I am not clear on how to add galleries. The instruction says it uses default WP gallery feature. But on my site I don’t see a gallery option at insert images tab in editing screen of my pages.

So to be more clear, I have the gallery option on my posts but not on pages. Shouldn’t it be on pages too?
I am referring to this tutorial: https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/ and it says “Open a post or page for editing”… So I assume it should be doable on pages too.

    Any idea anybody?
I am using WP 3.3.2. Could it be too old for doing this? Or am I missing something?

    Thanks for any help ??

  • I must be missing something as well. I insert a gallery in both pages and posts and all I get is the standard WP gallery. I’ve tried changing the settings and more to no avail. I’ve tried both the standard version and the responsive version of the plugin. I was looking forward to this :/
Should I be using a shortcode to insert the gallery or anything? Is there any documentation?

There is no trick to it. It should just work. Can you post a link? Your theme may be overriding my shortcode settings. You can try the photospace shortcode.

nevermind. my problem was conflicts with the Ultimate Shortcodes plugin

I finally got the pages work too. But it is weird the way it is setup. Just not too intuitive enough. I need to wrestle with it at first ??

How did you get it to work? I’ll never understand why they don’t post better usage instructions for these plugins. Hire a friggin tech writer!

All I got was the original photos one after the other…no gallery, no slideshow, nada.

The way I made it work for me: I added an image just regularly. Then for adding the second image, it showed the gallery link, so the second image went to that gallery and if you click on the gallery, you can edit the images. After the gallery works, instead of the images on visual view, you see a square with a camera image on it. the html view shows a short code for the gallery.

So as I said I had to struggle with it to make it work. I am still not sure how exactly it works. If you have many other plugins, maybe you can try it on a freshly WP instal, so you get a hang on it first, before you use it on more complicated sites.

Hope it works for you too ??
