I want to noindex/nofollow links on some of my posts but I noticed that this option is not available anymore.
Does anyone know where did this option go or how to do this some other way?

@dankiteski You can select whether a page is set to ‘noindex’ or ‘nofollow’ by performing the following steps:

Go to the Edit screen for a page/post
Scroll down to the Yoast Metabox
      Click on the ‘Advanced’ area
For ‘Allow search engines to show this Page in search results’ select ‘Yes’ to allow indexing and ‘No’ to set the page to noindex.
For ‘Should search engines follow links on this Page?’ select ‘Yes’ to follow, and ‘No’ to nofollow.
      Click Update

We also have a guide on how to set a page/post to nofollow or noindex here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-do-i-noindex-urls/

Thank you for your response. That’s how it used to be but after the latest plugin update, I don’t see the ‘advanced’ option anymore. All I see is ‘SEO Analysis’, ‘Add related keyphrase’ and ‘Cornerstone content’. Is this a glitch or some changes have been made to the plugin and if so, where do I access these settings?

@devnihil Same here – the advanced section has disappeared during the latest plugin update. Any idea when it will be fixed? Thanks

@dankiteski Can you please confirm whether you are logged into the site as an adminsitrator? If you are not logged into the site as an administrator and the setting for ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors‘ that is located under SEO>General>Features is enabled, it will prevent authors from not seeing the Advanced settings on the Yoast metabox.

@zupers Please create a new issue if you are experiencing a similar problem as this helps us in tracking as this can be caused by many different variables (WordPress version, other plugins, etc).

@devnihil FYI, the entire ‘advanced’ section was missing for me (an admin) as well after the latest update. I went into the settings and ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ was already turned off (meaning it should be available to all). I toggled it on, saved settings, then toggled it off and re-saved, but the advanced section was still missing. I then went back and set it to ‘on,’ saved settings, and the advanced section was back.

@mlface Thanks for the additional information. This has been reported as a bug and there is now an issue report open with our developers to resolve it, and the fix for this bug will be implemented in the 14.2 release of the plugin.
