Hello. It looks like your plugin is exactly what I need. The only question is: I didn’t find in the settings from which role to which role I can change settings. The default role is Subscriber, I need to change it to Contributor. How do I do that? In the general settings I found only the fact of change itself, but nowhere found settings where you can specify what role to assign after payment. The site is still on a local server – I can’t provide a link. Thank you for your work!

Found it. After server restart the line “Assigned Role” appeared in the product settings. Now another question: is it possible to sell Subscription (as a product) in this way, i.e. just limit the role change by time? A person buys a Subscription for 1 month, for example, or even for 1 day (if it is some “trial” subscription, and his role from Subscriber is changed to another (set by the Administrator). But it changes temporarily. In the Woo plugin, there is a default parameter “Upload Expiration” (right above your line). If you can tie the “Assigned Role” parameter to it and specify that on “Expiration of Upload Deadline” the role reverts to the original setting (Subscriber, for example), we’d have a great plugin with the ability to sell Subscription as a product. That would be a great move. What do you think of the idea?

As an option: maybe it is possible to add as a snippet by a separate code? In my case this parameter is severely lacking.

    Hi!

The Premium version of the plugin allows associating the role assignation to a subscription lifecycle.

Great, thanks, but how do I get it?

Is the premium version of your plugin written for the Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin (the one with WP Swings)? Is it a basic or premium version? I would prefer to discuss the individual correction of your plugin without reference to other people’s plugins, of course….

At this moment, the premium plugin supports only the integration with WooCommerce Subscriptions

Maybe in the future it will support other Subscriptions plugins.

OK, I see, but this is a very expensive integration.

Maybe, but this is, by far, the most-used subscriptions plugin for WooCommerce and with, IMHO, the best support.

@olegus25 FYI, I just released a new premium version, now supporting subscriptions managed by YITH WooCommerce Subscription and WP Swings Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugins.

It’s all very interesting, but I don’t use any plugins except Woocommerce itself and yours. And in my case, your plugin is missing only one thing (as I wrote earlier): the newly assigned role (which I can choose when creating the product) should be linked to the product’s “Upload Expiration” parameter, with the condition that after the expiration date, the User’s Role returns to the original parameters. Otherwise, using your plugin loses its relevance, as there are other paid solutions with much more functionality.

And currently it turns out that I can assign a new buyer a role (and this part of the plugin is completely free for me), but I can’t undo it when the deadline I set for the buyer expires. I have to do it manually every time. And when you have a lot of “small” buyers – it gets very troublesome….. Like that old joke where admission is free and exit is 10 bucks )

But I haven’t given up hope yet of finding someone who won’t have a problem writing this condition as a separate php code: if the “Upload expiration” parameter is no longer valid, then the “User Role” parameter is equal to “Default value”. Something like this.

Hey, this is a good feature request.

I’ll have it in mind for the next release.

Great, then I’ll be waiting for the new release)
