how to activate autofill

I goofed! I am not a programmer but an idiot. Somewhere in the code I found where I could turn off autofill. Now I found that when I type in name and email no characters show up. If I go ahead and fill in fields and hit submit it does work even though I can’t see what I have typed. Is it because I turned off autofill and how can I redo it as I don’t know where I found the autofill in the code? I would appreciate any help as I believe this is a really good plugin and want to use it.
By the way I am 83 years old and am still learning.
