Right now my users can change their email addresses without any form of confirmation. “Email Confirmation” Activated: doesn’t change that.

How can I make them confirm their new email address whenever they want to change it? I only use the profile forms from your plugin, but the default login/register forms.

  • Hi there,

Perhaps we could have made this more clear.

Our Email Confirmation is only for registration, not for subsequent changes of email address.

But we have had others asking for this, and I am adding your request as well, so perhaps the development team will get to it at some point.

    Cheers,
    Gabriel

Thanks for your answer, but that missing feature is really a problem. I mean I can’t let users change their email addresses without confirmation and I’ve not seen a website that does that in years.
Is there a way for me to fix it right now?

    Hi there,

Since WordPress does not have that functionality included in it’s core, and many sites are build on WordPress, I’m guessing that there are many sites letting users change their email addresses without confirmation.

But anyway, to answer your question, I don’t know. There might be some 3rd party plugins for doing that.

    Perhaps look in the repository.

Ok, I didn’t know it’s the same with the normal profiles. I’ll see if I can find something.

Cool. Perhaps maybe let us know here if you find something interesting.

    Thanks!

I didn’t find anything but I bought the hobbyist version and the “repeat email” field makes this a bit better.

    Glad to hear!

Do you mean the Email Confirmation Field add-on?

I would just like to point out that it’s also available with the free version of Profile Builder.

    Cheers,
    Gabriel
