    Howdy folks,

I’m making a theme for wordpress. First I used the german 2.3.3 version.

I also need to allow some settings für this theme so i made a plugin file corresponding with the theme, where the admin may edit some settings via the plugin editor, which was available in the 2.3.3.

Now I also installed the multiuser WordPress version 1.3.3 to make the theme MU compatible but realized, that the button “Plugin Editor” is not there. I couldn’t find an option to activate the editor, although the file wp-admin/plugin-editor.php is available even in the MU package.

Does anybody know how to activate plugin editing here?

BTW: Is it possible to make a backend for any plugin as we know it from Joomla etc.?

    Thanks!

  • Don’t know, but maybe it is as simple as changing permissions for the plugin folder?

you’d be better off asking on the specific MU forums.

I’m not an MU user, but I don’t think that the individual users have the ability to upload plugins, it is just the administrator that can do that. I believe the plugins are actually shared by all users, so allowing them to be edited may not be possible.

I could be wrong of course…

    Hi again,

MU forums… brilliant idea… should have been mine some hours ago…

Well file permissions aren’t the problem for I’m on a windows platform at the moment.

And for now there is only the admin so I think it has nothing to do with user permissions.

Well, I’m off for the MU forums.

    Thanks and cya,
