Hi. I have a wp installation with Buddy theme and buddypress installed on a community site. I am now trying to set up a frontpage, stripped for sidebars, widgets etc. I am planning on having a disclaimer and warning(adult site) on this page, hiding all pages that wp has behind it.

Here is what I have tried:

Made a static index.html and added some code in .htaccess for the server to first look for index.html before index.php. I also linked to the index.php in the index.html, but when clicked the page turnsout to head back to the html file.

SO! I tried making a new page with a “blank” template in my theme, set this as my static homepage in settins-reading wich works as far as presenting the blank page, but same here, the link i set to index.php is ignored and returns the “home page”

So what am I missing and how do I do it?

    eager to learn.

    Regards
    Terjemk
