    Hi

On the Cart Totals, how do I add a “Clear Cart” BUTTON on this page..

Otherwise when testing if I have 20 items in the Cart, I have to click on delete 20 times… I would prefer the client just have to click a “BUTTON to Clear Cart” at that time if they want to remove 19 items in one go..

How can I achieve this ?

Have been googling to find the exact answer.

    Thanks
    Kristin

  • Hi @kristinubute

    you can test this plugin:
    https://pl.www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-empty-cart-button/

Is this what are you looking for?

    Otherwise when testing

Would be good to think about this from the customer side of things rather than from your side. Do you want an easy way for customer’s to empty their cart? Could be argued you want them to go through and look at each item before removing it, making them think once more if they want it or not.

Anyways, just something to think about. You should be optimizing your site for customer and conversions. Not for your testings ??

Well basically I am pretending I am a customer so am thinking from the customer point of view.

This would be a pain for a customer at times, if they change their mind etc.

I know other websites have this as a default setup that is what I prefer for the customer.

I don’t need it from my perspective being admin at all.

Fair enough. Could certainly argue the counter side – if the customers wants to quick purchase something, then a full cart could deter them. Valid points to both sides ??

The other issue I have is that if a client does NOT log out, and they just close their browser, then their items stay in the cart for next time they login. Which sometimes I suppose could be a good thing and sometimes a pain for the customer. I have had some customers complaining that items are still in the cart when they login.

Yes I will also try this Plugin Przemyslaw

    THanks

Sorry with regards to the plugin Przemyslaw it seems to be in a different language partly. Will it still be OK for me to use ?

    Has 1000 installs only.

    Thx

    So tried that plugin ..
    I am using WordPress 4.9.4

I get this error when plugin activated on the cart page.

Notice: WC_Cart::get_cart_url is deprecated since version 2.5! Use wc_get_cart_url instead. in /home/ubutedesigns/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3839

It still showed the button, but has a large error on the top

Any other options this plugin hasn’t been updated for a year and untested on this version of WordPress.

As I do not have a “Clear Cart” on Logout button (because I cannot find something that works !) therefore when clients log back in next time it shows what was in their Cart the next time they log in. Therefore that is one main reason I want the “Clear Cart” on “Carts Total” page.

Lots of people after placing an order do NOT log OUT of their account once an order is placed, therefore things sit in the Cart next time they check back in. This is another issue I’m trying to resolve .. unless this is normal practice in Woocommerce that people want that to happen I wouldn’t think so…

Surely other people use something or a plugin to clear the cart easily ?
I thought this would be a common and easy thing to find a resolution for.

    Thx
    Krstin
