How To Add A Deposit

  • Hi all,

    Currently I am using “woo-commerce booking” extension to setup an equipment rental website.

    I need a deposit function because customers need to deposit a certain amount before they can rent the item(s).

    At first, I was thinking of creating a simple product for a deposit, and then group it together with my equipment item. However, that is not possible because I am using a variable product for my equipment items.

    Kindly let me know how do I integrate a deposit function with woo commerce so that the deposit value will be added to the subtotal, and appear in order review page.

    Currently, the way I did it is, I added the deposit in the shipping section.

    So for example, if shipping is $12, and deposit is $150, at the review order page, you will see:

    shipping + deposit ($150) : Local Delivery ($162)

    But that is not the right solution.
