how to add a html tag to my theme?

    Hi,

    I am trying to run google webmaster tools and to do that I need to verify that I own the account. One of the ways to do this is to add an html tag into the home page. The instructions say to insert between the <head> and the <body> tags.

    However when I go to appearance>editor and select the theme I am using (Omega) there is no <head> and no <body> tag. Please help!
