How to add a new content type

    Thank you for looking. I have a client who do training courses. We have been asked to build a website to act as company brochure, with a company presentation etc. No problems. The question I have is about adding a new content type (Post, Page and the new Course). This content type would have the same basic features as the Post type, but would have a lot more fields to fill in, like location, multiple dates and price. it should also be possible to book a course online, pay for it and receive joining instructions automatically after payment is verified.

    Is this possible? Any ideas on how to do this?

    Through WordPress e-commerce plugins but more likely adding stand-alone opensource shopping carts like Miva, OsCommerce, ZenCart or paid ecommerce like https://www.volusion.com/ etc

    You can follow these steps to createe a new content type for adding in training courses. For this you can use POD plugin. Just go into your web admin plugins section and search for pod and activate that plugin. You may want to follow this video https://pods.uproot.us/videos/3/ in creating new cotent type.
