How to add a 'notes' box to the basic give form

    Hello,

    I’d like to be able to add a simple ‘notes’ box where donators can write a short message no more than 200 characters long. This way they can write a note to us with any instructions they want to give on how to use the donation.

    Is this possible in Give or do I have to buy the $87 forms addon?

    Hi Cathie,

    Regarding custom fields you have two options:

    1) You can create custom fields with code using our documentation. And here’s a working plugin based on that documentation.

    2) You can purchase our Form Field Manager. That will allow you to add as many fields as you like to your forms, though we always encourage folks that the fewer fields the better to optimize your donor experience.
