How to add an “invisible” tag with custom fields?

    I know, I always find difficult questions to ask.

    What I would like to do is add one Technorati tag to each of my posts, but since this is only one tag, I would like it to be only visible on the RSS feed, keep my feed as a summary (not full content), and I would rather not have to install a plugin to use it. Any ideas?

    I have heard that custom fields can be used to create tags, but I have seen no documentation on how to do so. Would this work for my situation? If so, how can I use custom fields to create tags?
