how to add author posts link to profile

    hope someone can help me out here?

    I need to add the authors posts link into the profile page (link to list all the current user’s posts) it sounds easy but WP codex says I need to use the
    ‘<?php the_author_posts_link(); ?>’
    in the loop. I am not very familiar with codes so can someone please help me insert the author posts link into the profile page?
