How to add code manually?

Hello guys,

I want to add the button manually so I can choose where I want the button to appear.
I know I can do that with this snippet code:

<?php echo fb_like_button(); ?>

But how can I prevent the plugin to show other buttons automatically?
An option to disable buttons when we use custom code would be a great feature.
