How to add forum search results to the global search page?

  • How to get the search results from the forum to show up on the global search result page?

    if I search for blue, I get all products, pages, and posts with this keyword, but no forum posts. Having a different form just for the forum is not an optimal solution for the customer.

    Hi @calmkiwi,
    WordPress search functions have no chance to search in forum topics and posts because wpForo data are not stored in the regular wp_posts table of WordPress. wpForo has separate tables in database for better performance. However, we plan to find some hook and connect those data during WordPress search request in near future. I’ll update this topic once we started work on this.
