How to add image in header as in demo site

you can go to WordPress dashboard – appearance-header – header image where you can upload images to headera.

can not find this option while using generatepress theme

If you mean the logo/header area, you can upload your image in “Appearance > Customize > Header Content”.

To add a featured image above your content, you can use the Featured Image function: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

To add content and a background image above your content, you can use our Page Header add-on: https://www.generatepress.com/downloads/generate-page-header/

when i open the demo.generatepress.com there is image of mountain below the top menu. How to add this image.

You can always use hooks to add your own HTML to the same area (generate_after_header is the hook) if you can’t afford the $5 add-on ??
