How to add JQuery to theme?

Recently came across this jquery effect online. I am a complete beginner in terms of coding/css but I was wondering if there is a way to use this effect on my installed wordpress theme (currently using Classica) Keep in mind that I am a coding newbie so any step by step instructions would be helpful!
