How to add links to categories from visual editor

Hi,

When I edit a post or page I can easily add links via the build in search. However when I want to add a link to a category I have to add it manually (copy pasting the link).

Is there a way to add all the categories to the link editor in TinyMCE? It would be great if the search works in the title as well as the description…

Any plugins that can do this? Is it hard to build it myself? How should I proceed? (even a separate button to add category links would do)
