how to add links to external webpages on gallery images

On my art related WOrdpress Site, I need to connect my gallery images to external websites. Has anyone figured out how to do this? I read some older posts, and wondering whether a new solution is available. I’m not very good with HTML, so a non-html solution would be great. Thanks so much!
