    I’m new to wordpress/elementor/astra theme.

I’m trying to add my menu to my site. I’m using the astra theme and the free version of elementor. My menu is not displaying at all

I have the menu set up and saved under appearance, menus. the ‘display location, primary menu’ is checked.

under appearance/customize – menus: my menu is set to primary menu

right now my menu does not display. Why? and how do I fix it so my menu appears on my page?

my page doesn’t have a section with a ‘nav’ widget. My understanding I don’t need this because the theme takes care of that.

  • Hi Keith,

From what you describe it appears that you’ve set everything correctly.

Technically, as the menu display is pulled from your WordPress and Theme settings, it does not appear to be an issue with Elementor itself. Elementor provides you an additional option of adding a ‘Nav Menu’ widget to different areas of your site, but you stated you do not wish to use it at this time.

I would recommend replying with screenshots of the Astra theme’s Customizing->Header->Primary screen to see if there are any configurations that are causing the menu to be invisible. To consolidate the issue, it may be wise to contact the Astra Theme’s support team as they will likely be able to point out any theme related issues: https://wpastra.com/support/

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Gil
