How to add my own category in menu

    Hi,

    I would like to be able to add my own categories in the menu. Actually my upcoming news website is also going to have these categories: US Politics, World, Science and Technology. I don’t see these categories in the menu customization area to add to my menu. I know I can rename the categories, but the “Original” shows it to be the original category and then in the URL it shows the “original” category name and not my renamed one. I am new to all this, sorry, but I hope I am able to ask the question correctly and you are able to understand my question correctly. Thank you for any help you could provide.

    Ok, I found the answer to my question myself. All I had to do is just hover over “Posts” in WordPress and then click on Categories. It is there that we can add categories. I did just that and voila! it showed the categories that I wanted in the customization area! Thank you anyway. I am marking this as resolved.
