To set up your slider please make sure you have configured your homepage properly.
Goto Dashboard -> page-> add new -> give your page name and select page template as homepage from the right side of the screen. please check this screenshot for more details.
Now go to Dashboard ->Setting -> reading -> select homepage display as a static page and from the drop-down option select the page you created for the homepage.

now, In this theme parallaxsome slider are set from the post category option.
you need to create a category adding some posts for the slider.
please go to your Dashboard -> post -> category, you can add a new category from here.please check this screenshot for more details.
now again goto your dashboard -> post -> add new -> give your slider a title and selecr the slider category which you have created earlier. please check this screenshot for more details.
now at last goto your apperance -> customize -> homepage setting -> slider section, from where you have to enable and select the slider category.
