My WordPress skills are way out of date. I am trying to install this on a test site for evaluation by an organization I volunteer with…

I’ve installed the plugin and walked through creating a petition. However, the next step, which is probably intuitional to a regular WordPress administrator, is undocumented. Namely, how do I add a link to the popup for petitioner’s to follow?

Forget the popup for now. I’ve been looking at sites that were linked in these comments and see that the ones I looked at have the text of the petition embedded in the page, which looks clean to me. However, I didn’t see anything to explain to these old eyes “How they were doing it!”

Are you asking how to embed the petition in a page? You would simply add the shortcode [emailpetition id="1"] to display a petition

There are others, they are listed on the SpeakOut! > petitions page in the WordPress dashboard
[signaturelist id="1"] – display signature list
[signaturecount id="1"] – display signature count
[signaturegoal id="1“]` – display signature goal
