    Hi,

We have a job posting site and we are using WP Job Manager.

When the listing closes the status is changed to “Expired”.

We still keep the listing visible after expiration but we remove the apply for the job button, tell the visitor that the job listing is closed and try to direct the visitor to another similar job listing.

When status changes to from “Publish” to “Expire” the listing disappears from the sitemap.

So how can I keep the expired listings on the sitemap?

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

Can you check if your expired job listings have a noindex meta robots tag? This would sound like a plausible scenario for WP Job Manager. If you do not know how to check, you can ask the developers here

If expired listings have a noindex tag, then that is the reason why they cannot be found in the sitemap.

    Hello,

We already removed the noindex tag from expired listings.

@eppu While we are unable to confirm how the WP Job Manager is handling the expired job listings, we do know that Yoast SEO includes all the URLs that are publically accessible. Therefore, we recommend you please check with the WP Job Listings plugin support for assistance first to know how they’re handling the expired job listings on their plugin.

Closing as there is no further update on this.
