  • Use the shortcodes from woocomerce: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

You set your home page as a static page and can use the page content to add the shortcodes.

Thanks for your info. If I don’t set the home page as a static page, I can’t do it?

I just set the frontpage display to ” Your latest posts” because I want my blog index page content on my homepage with the page number at the bottom of the page. When I had “static page” for the frontpage, the posts displayed on homepage can’t have page numbers. How can I solve this then?

I don’t quite understand how to display the products I want to show on the homepage, following your link. Aren’t the short codes only used in woocommerce, but what I want is just to display products under the posts on my homepage. Under the posts (above the products) i want to have the page numbers which link to the blog index page and specific post.

I am a newbie, appreciate it if you can direct me more in details. Thanks a lot!

You can’t do all of that then with the free theme. There is a way to have your home page be the latest post page and use a widget area on the home page for the woocommerce shortcodes but not possible with the free theme.

Shortcodes are just text you add into a content area and they call content into a page. so to show recent products you would add this to you page content area:

    [recent_products per_page="12" columns="4"]

Thanks for your kind information! You mentioned to use a widget area on the home page, do you mean the sidebar area shown with posts? The other widget area is footer, but i don’t want to put product in the footer. Where I should add the short code you gave me to the page centent area? The homepage does not have an actual page. Should I create a page named Home? and added the short code there? or add it to the sidebar area on blog index page?

No it’s not like that, what you want to do can’t be done with the free theme. I was stating that it’s different with the premium theme but you can’t have a home page that is your latest post page and have products with the free theme.

I see…thanks! what about the portofolio carousel and icons? can’t they be shown on homepage if the homepage is NOT static?

Yes they can, and if you have premium you would have a bunch more options then those. That was my point exactly.

    free version of premium?

    Hi Pickertc,

To create an eshop with this theme, you will need to install WooCommerce – excelling eCommerce Plugin. It is a recommendation for this theme.

You can then be able to create products description, add images, add prices, variations and setup your payment getways

Once installed you can go to your admin – click on woocommerce then settings to setup your woocommerce by clicking on all the tabs to setup accordingly to meet your needs.

Dont forget to save each page as you go along.

After that, you click Product tab under woocommerce – click on add product to start creating your products.

    Hope this helps

my theme is the free version. Will that make a difference.

Just follow the woocommerce instruction. You can add products in woocommerce, and set price there.

    Hi Pickertc,

    It makes no difference.
