How to add shadow to featured image?!

    Hi. I am trying to add outside shadow in featured image but my code not seems to be working.?! What can be the problem.?!
    This is the code i am applying. 

    .ct-image-container {
    	box-shadow:0px 0px 18px 5px rgba(168,168,168,0.36);
}
