How to add social network icons right to top menu

I would like to know first how do we activate the social network icons in the theme , in the demo it appears in widget bottom, however in mine it just dont appear even after import, and if it’s possible to include it right of the main menu top?

I tried using normal icons and moving them however i would like to know a more efficient way to do it if possible, thanks in advance
