How to add stuff to my site Via ftp

i read all on that site, yet it doesnt tell me how to even change the pic on the screen behind my title.

Uploading through ftp is related to changing an image in your templates like driving a car is related to how gasoline is produced.

So, do you want help in uploading through ftp, or do you want to know how to alter your WordPress templates to display images?

I would like help in
A-knowing how to add forums to my site. [i think thats through ftp]
B- how can i change the picture.. thingy.. sry for my noobishness.

A. Is a bit off the topic for these forums. The key here is to find the forum software you want to run, then get help from the gurus of that product (most forum software will offer their own support…forum :).

B. Is your blog available publically? If so, a link to it would help so we can provide specific suggestions. But generally, you first want to make sure the image you are planning to use is online (i.e. ftp’ed to your site, or uploaded through the Upload feature in WordPress). If you’re just swapping out one image for another, you can rename your image file to the one that’s there now, or you can change the <img> tag using the old image to point to your new one.

By the way, there’s nothing wrong with being ‘noobish’. It’s the place we all start at.

Quite simply find the path of the image and replace it.

umm i can find the picture on the ftp, like on the main.. thingy of the tree. but when i delete if off their it just stays on the site. Is there a specific place in the template i can change the top ..thingy to it. by just changeing the url of where its hosted.
