How to add the categories below the header logo?

    Hi! I really need your help. I love this theme and I downloaded it two days ago to start my blog. One of the things that attracted me is the categories displayed below the header logo (the 4 categories shown in the demo.) But I don’t know how to get them on my blog. Please help me!

    One more question, how do I make pictures on a post appear on the index like the posts displayed on the demo version? I tried posting a post with a picture and text, but only the text appeared on the index. Thank you so much in advance.
