How To Add To A Page With PHP

Is there a way to add the front page news to a page using PHP? I have a page.php specifically for the home page of my site and I do not want to add the FP News via shortcode because I do not want anyone to be able to edit the page content. Can you add it via php? I did not see this in the documentation.
