When creating a Post for our News page on Elementor in Qi Theme, we select an image that we want to be the featured image on that Post’s tile, which looks good. But the same image is also used as the banner image on the Post…and that image doesn’t center properly. How do we adjust the image so the people’s faces are in the center and not cut off?

We are able to adjust the banner images elsewhere, but can’t figure it out on the Post widget.

    Thanks

We were able to center the image by clicking Elementor Single Post up top…but it messed up the alignment of the banner images on other Posts. So we tried to click Elementor Single Post for those too to fix them, but it only opens up the first Post we edited earlier in the day.

Is Elementor Single Post the only place to adjust the position of the banner images?

Also, how do we change the text color of the title over the main images in Posts? We know how to do it in other places, but when we do it on Posts, it also messes things up.

One last questions on the Post image topic…how do we size the banner image so it looks good on mobile too?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

You do have in each Post single, once you click Edit only, an option within our Qode Settings > Title Settings > Background Image a place to upload your background image as well as an option to set Background Image Behavior to responsive, this will allow your image to be placed correctly on mobile devices as well. This will be well centered on both Desktop and mobile devices.

When it comes to the title color please check Qode Settings > Title Settings > Title color and it will change the color of the Title

We hope this helped and let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you for your reply!

I found the “Qode Settings > Title Settings > Background Image” you mention, but I have already placed an image in that spot using the settings from the regular WordPress/Elementor Dashboard. Does the Qode Settings replace/override that image setting from WordPress, or is it the same thing?

Also, for “Qode Settings > Title Settings > Title color”, does that change the color for only the single Post, or all Posts?

    HI there,

When it comes to the Title you have the page options, so on each Post/page it can be set differently or it can be set globally but this means that it will be applied to all your pages that has the title. We did test both of the ways with your image and we did not encounter any issue with the responsivness.

If you could send us a screenshot of your configuration and how you built it exactly, that will help us to test this on our side and provide you with correct answer on the options you can adjust.

When it comes to the title, you can set the title color globally in Qode Essential Addons > Title > Title Color as well, this will be applied to all your title text for the Title Area. I it is set differently on the page/post settings for title, it will overwrite the global options and be different on only that particular page.

    We hope this helped.

    Best,

We still cannot figure out how to center the image on a single Post.

See how the girls’ heads are not showing when the image is in wide-desktop mode? How do we adjust that specific Post image to show as centered, instead of only the top part when in desktop mode?

We can’t crop that image to show centered because it’s the same image that gets used in the Post’s tile image.

Or is there a way to use two different images…one for the banner background and one for the Post tile image?

I tried adjusted the positioning in the Settings, and it doubled the image for some reason….Now I don’t know how to fix it.

And I just realized that all the Post title images have been replaced with the same image I was trying to edit. I have no idea why or how to switch it back.

I would truly appreciate your help.

You can disregard my last questions. I decided to just use a single image for every Post banner. Dealing with the featured image in the Post title banners is too prone to problems. Thanks anyway. I always appreciate the advice I receive her.

    Hi there,

Did the Qode Settings > Title Settings > Background Image work for you and have you tried it also?

Glad you found a solution that is working and keep us updated if you did encounter and issue with ourTitle Settings on your side.

No, we could not get the Background Image in on the Posts pages to correctly adjust. We tried it many different ways, but everything we tried either didn’t work or had a negative effect on the other Post pages we didn’t want to change. So we just made a single gradient image for all the Post pages. It’s fine that way. We really need to focus on making the website look better on mobile, so that’s our main goal now.
