    Hi,

I installed One WP Security plugin on my WordPress website.
I am creating software that needs to interact with my WP website.
I have a specific directory on the root folder of my server. It is called “dist”.
My software needs to access this specific folder in order to get a text file.
I noticed this morning that I got a 403 error. This is undoubtedly due to One WP Security plugin. I was wondering how I can allow access to a specific directory?

I check the “Custom rules” tab that invites me to modify .htaccess file.
But after some Google search, it is obviously not possible to allow access to a specific directory with .htaccess rules.

Does anyone can help me please?

    Hi,

Have you tried this with All-In-One disabled?

Just so we can rule out if it’s the plugin or not.

Depending on how this is setup it maybe the server software it’s self that is blocking you from accessing the files.

When you say the root folder of your server, is that the root of your web folder or outside?

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley
