How to Apply plugin addon

I am using the “how to apply” add-on. Not sure if this is the right place for questions about that. I have in my settings to “apply through given instructions/notes”. And I have placed some text in the box below that setting. However, that text is not showing. It only works if I manually add it into the how to apply box on the individual job postings pages. I want to be able to use both. I want a standard application message about COVID-19 measures in the main settings that goes on EVERY page and then on each individual page I want to provide a custom link for them to apply for that specific job. My custom COVID message in the How to apply settings on the settings area is not showing up.
