How to assign brand to a product?
-
Hello, I installed the plugin and added a brand, but I cannot find how to assign the brand to a product. I expected to find the way to assign it in the product page, as with categories, but I cannot find any Brand tab. Can you help me? Thank you.

Hello,
On the product page there is a widget with brands eg https://i.imgur.com/vRPp4Ek.png
If it is not available – on the products page scroll top and find on the right top corner Screen Options. Click it. You will see list of Screen elements. Turn on Brands.

DmytroHello Dmytro,
thank you for your answer. I cannot find the Screen Options on the right top corner. I found the way to enable/disable tabs, but I cannot find the Brands tab. See the link https://prnt.sc/TnMyf2f8svq9

DmytroHello Dmytro,
thank you for your reply. I discovered that my theme has the option to enable/disable block editor for WooCommerce products editing and it was enabled. If I disable it, I can see the Brands tab in the product page sidebar.
Since the block editor will be the future, can you consider to make the Brands for WooCommerce plugin compatible with it?

Hello Alessandro,
“Since the block editor will be the future” – WooCommerce is adding it already and it is far from what you have in your theme. You can try it turning on option ‘New product editor’ on the wp-admin -> Settings -> Advanced -> Features.
We will add support for WooCommerce block editor when they will be ready to lunch it. Right now it is Beta version. What theme are you using? We will check possibility of compatibility.

DmytroHello Dmytro,
I did not know that WooCommerce already added the opportunity to enable the block editor for products. Thank you for the information!
I am using Shpotimizer theme (https://www.commercegurus.com/product/shoptimizer/). I have a test instance. If you want, I can give you the adiministrator login details by email.

Please don’t. The developer did not ask for that, never needs that and could get into real trouble if they accept that offer here. Up to and including getting their plugin removed. It’s that serious.
Please work with the developer here without offers like that.
Hello Jan,
thank you for point it, but I wrote “by email”. I will never share any login details in a public forum or support area like here! I know the risk. By email I can work with the developer in my favorite way.

If the developer and it came out, and it always comes out and I collect horror stories about this, then the developer may be banned from this site.
There does not exist a scenario where that’s allowed for the developer.
There does not exist a scenario where that’s allowed for the developer.
Do you mean that if I find the developer’s email I cannot send him what I want?
You can and should do what you think is appropriate. But if the developer accepted that access, if it came out and it almost always does then they would deal with the consequences of that.
Those consequences can include them being banned from this site and their plugin being removed from the WordPress repo. It’s that serious.
This is not a new thing and all of the plugin developers know this already.
Those consequences can include them being banned from this site and their plugin being removed from the WordPress repo. It’s that serious.
I hope that to ban a developer you have to prove that he received login access from here, or not? I really do not understand this beahavior. If I have a test instance, why I cannot give administrator login access for testing? Really, why? Please, con you provide me the link to Tems and conditions? Thank you.
If I have a test instance, why I cannot give administrator login access for testing?
Because it puts users and the developer at risk. No developer wants to ask themselves “Do I even have liability insurance?” and that’s why this is not a debate. That has happened to developers and while it is easy to say “I’ll sue!” when something goes wrong, no developer wants that said to them.
If any developer asks for or accepts login or admin access to a forum user’s site, they risk tangible consequences. That’s all there is to it.
Please, con you provide me the link to Tems and conditions?
You can review the forum guidelines if you choose.

But again: this is not a debate and honestly, I’m not trying to convince you. I am explaining the situation and that’s all there is to it.
Hello Dmytro,
any news about my answer to your last post? You asked which theme I am using and I informed you that it is Shoptimizer (https://www.commercegurus.com/product/shoptimizer/) with block editor enabled also for products. Can you add brands selection support when using block editor also for product editing? Perfect Brands has this option, but I prefer to use your plugin, because I am considering to buy your AJAX Products Filter plugin. Please let me know.
Thank you.

AlessandroHello Dmytro @dholovnia, I am still waiting a reply to my last post. Can you answer?
