So, no plan for this.

Have you been able to assess the drawback of having a plugin with such an automatic option for all articles, as opposed to keeping SmpleTOC as lean as possible?i
I mean, can such an option really make a difference in terms of site performance and safety?

There a millions of users for other TOC plugins offering such an automatic option, and I’m wondering what motivates you to avoid adding it to your great plugin?
Is it because of performance? If so, can you share details?
Or is it a security reason? Same, can you explain why?

This is a Gutenberg Block Plugin. By design, I cannot implement that without steering away from this. A block is a block and nothing else. It can be placed anywhere. So maybe you can search for a plugin that adds blocks automatically. However, you could use this in Full-Site Editing somehow.

Hi Marc! in that case, it means that Simple TOC can′t be used with the classic editor in WordPress?

I downloaded it but I couldn′t make it work in Classic Editor. Gutenberg isn′t useful for bloggers like me that write a lot of text content / long articles.

SimpleTOC works only in Gutenberg since Classic is deprecated.

Gutenberg is perfect for people who write long and complex texts. You can reorder things more easily. Give it a try. It will change how you work with texts.
