Does anyone know how to automatically display comments in blog posts using Easel theme?

Comments are automatically showing on my Pages and I’d like the same to happen with my blogposts. Thanks for reading!

.. they should be doing that automatically, it’s not written to ‘not’ display them.

Did you check your settings -> discussion in your wp-admin?

In the upper right hand corner of the post/page editor there’s ‘screen options’ checkmark the ‘discussion’ one to have it display the checkbox to either enable or disable comments for that post/page.

Hm– I guess I may have phrased my question wrong. (And posted in the wrong place, since this may not be an Easel issue.)

Yes, comments show below the pose in direct links to the post itself. But what I want is for the comments to show on the blog main pages. Basically I want comments visible without a user having to click the post title link or the “10 comments” link.

Is this even possible in wordpress?

in the easel options, set the amount of posts to display on the ho me page to 1 then enable the option to display comments on home page

Yea, but I don’t want only 1 blog post on the home (well first) page. I like to have 3 or 4 posts showing.

So I guess I’m answering my question now, but there is probably no way to display comments under blog posts if you want to show multiple posts on a page, huh?

..there is.. it’s just not .. right? all of the posts having comments is going to be encumbersome and i’m not really sure how it will work if you use any plugins like jetpacks comments and such that modify the look of the comment section and the comment-reply javascript might go all out of whack, however.. search for $withcomments for the proper directions for how to do it

Thanks– I searched that term but the results weren’t as straightforward as I was expecting. ??

I think it’s right for me. I’ve only averaged 4 or 5 one-sentence comments the past few years so I don’t see how having to read that becomes cumbersome from a content or visual design standpoint. However, back when I first launched and was getting dozens of comments, I would have agreed with you.

Did you mean cumbersome on the backend? Like from a coding standpoint?

In any case, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
