We’re a team of WordPress enthusiasts from Uzbekistan. We’ve been active translators of Uzbek language for WordPress. We’re also among the administrators of uz.www.ads-software.com.
WordPress is becoming more and more popular in our country. Naturally, the demand for support is also increasing.
We have our website dedicated to WordPress support and services. We’ve also opened Facebook pages and groups in uzbek language to help people with WordPress related issues. We’re planning to revive the uz.www.ads-software.com.
Is there a way for us to be verified as (official) support representatives of WordPress in Uzbekistan? We want to have verified Facebook pages that says we’re the official support representatives of WordPress in Uzbekistan. We want to introduce ourselves as official supporters on uz.www.ads-software.com Can we do that?
What are the requirements? Are there any limits on what we can do on uz.www.ads-software.com? Where can we find detailed info on this matter?

How to become a verified support representative of WordPress in Uzbekistan?

    You don’t. ??

There is no certification, no verification and the idea of “Official” certification for WordPress is… well, it is not an idea that is well receive by many.

It’s good that you are active in the community and I thank you for that. But except for telling people that you are active as a volunteer, there is no such thing as official support status.

As you know, WordPress is a community thing. People who are active in the community get noticed without the need of any official designation.

I’m always concerned about legal matters of things. I just want to make sure that we’ll not violating any policies of WordPress in future. Excuse me, but I want to clairefy these two more questions:

    1. Are we allowed to give direct link to our own support website from uz.www.ads-software.com?

    2. Are there any specific rules on building the showcase of WP websites on uz.www.ads-software.com?

I’m going to reply as if you were asking for these forums here. While I think that we are OK and that you understand me and where I am coming from, please read the whole reply and do not be offended.

Again, I think we understand each other but text is a poor medium and I am sometimes misunderstood. ??

The solution to that is easy: do not represent yourself as an official WordPress representative. There really is no such thing.

You can let people know you are a volunteer. You are. So am I, but there’s nothing official about that. If you are concerned about legal matters then no one here can help you and you should ignore all legal advice here. Seek professional legal counsel instead.

    1. Are we allowed to give direct link to our own support website from uz.www.ads-software.com?

No. The support forums are a volunteer community resource and support needs to stay within the forums. The forums are not for sending users elsewhere.

The only exception to that is plugin and theme authors in their own sub-forum. If someone looks for specific plugin or theme support and the author directs them somewhere else then that is fine.

Anyone else doing that will get a cautioning to stop.

    2. Are there any specific rules on building the showcase of WP websites on uz.www.ads-software.com?

I have no idea. ?? The showcase in these forums is a vetted and manually added system. Not all sites are included and I do not know who makes the decision to include a site or not.
