How to block China, Russia, India?

    I just downloaded this plugin because I am getting a lot of attempts to hack my site from Russia, China and India. Maybe I’m blind but I don’t see a way to block these specific countries within the plugin settings. All I see is a way to block every country outside of my own (USA). So if it is possible to block specific countries how do you do it? Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains this?

    Just as suggestion that adding instructions for how to block specific countries under the “Getting Started” section of your webpage would be very helpful since I’ll bet that’s the first thing people will want to know how to do after installing your plugin (https://www.ipgeoblock.com/codex/get-started.html). I’d suggest writing a “how to” on how to block China and then users can figure out how to use these instructions to block other countries.

    Hi,

    Sorry for my poor and incomprehensible documentation.

    Right after installing, you see “whitelist” in “Matching rule” is and US at “Whitelist of country code” in “Validation rule settings” section.

    You should know that “whitelist” and “blacklist” is the “two sides of the same coin”. You can’t select both at the same time.

    So you can select “blacklist” as “Matching rule“, then you can see the “Blacklist of country code” where you can put ZZ,RU,CN,IN to block requests from unknown countries, Russia, China and India.

    The section “Validation rule settings” composes the common settings for back-end and public facing pages (aka front-end).

    You can also configure the different rule for front-end at “Front-end target settings“.

    At last, please try “Best settings” button in “Plugin settings” section. It imports the preferred settings mainly for the “Back-end target settings” to keep your site secure.
