How to center header image?

    Im currently using another theme for a live site and am not happy with the layout. I thought I could try poseidon as it looks like something I can work with. In trying to activate late at night and make minor edits and review, I am at wits end trying to simply make my logo centered on page. My logo is 900px wide and I wanted a traditional wide header image with nav either above or below it, all centered.

    But it seems no matter what I try I can’t get the logo to move center. Its stuck in left position and the nav seems to lean more towards right by default.

    Can someone please tell me how to center logo image please?
    Reason I have header image in logo area is just looks better. When I try to use header to place my image it expands it to full width and distorts image.
