    Hi @kangxiang90,

Could you try setting “Show all letters at index” to off, and let me know of this works for you?

It should display the real starting-character with this setting.

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen

    Hi

It was by default “no” for that option.
You may check on this page : https://bcocloud.com/element/product/

    Hi @kingxiang90,

I am not sure what you mean. Do you want “α-Benzoin” to show up at A, or did you want it not to show up?
I do not see it when I list only “A” on your site.

    Kind regards,

Please check there is 2 A.

One is after the # and the other is after the Z.

α did show up but it turns to A after the Z.
Please check on the link then you will know it.

    Thanks

    Hi @kangxiang90,

I see what you mean now, I see it also when I add it to my own directory. This has to do with a few things, one of them is multibyte, which I added for Russian an other non-latin languages. The other thing is, everything gets categorized as uppercase.

I’ll check if there is a solution to this but I am not sure, it might make the plugin very very complicated.

    Hi @kangxiang90,

I havent forgotten this thread, but at the moment I still don’t know how to fix this. I think this had something to do with uppercase-styling for the indexing, but I havent got a fix yet.

The only thing I can think of for this issue is to create an option which disable the uppercasing of the first character and so indexes lowercase as well as uppercase. The user then has the responsibility to keep the first characters as he/she wishes, because the first characters of a word will be used as Index letter.

I’m not sure if this will complicate things too much for users. Do you guys have any input on this?

    Kind regards,
