How to change author slug-nickname

  • How to change the author slug? I dont want to show my username. eg. https://example.com/author/{username}

    I want to change it so to appears my nickname/public name !

    I dont want to use plugin so if someone knows what code to use to add in wp function to change this its will be very helpfull!
